SHIPPING + RETURNS

SHIPPING POLICY

Responsibility. The client (you) is responsible for shipping any materials for calligraphy service to 254 Pelelieu Street, Beaufort, SC 29902.

Ashley Lauren Letters (the Calligrapher) is responsible for shipping the completed goods back to you via USPS ground for free on envelopes and smaller items in the US. Finished goods will be carefully padded during packaging for safe travels.

Rush Shipping. If the Client requests overnight shipping, final shipping costs will be totaled onto the invoice after shipping occurs.

Assumption of risk. The risk of loss for damaged or lost Goods passes to the Client at the time that the Calligrapher mails out the Goods. The client may choose to purchase insured shipping, to lower the risk of any, knock-on-wood, accidents in transit.

Local Delivery. The Calligrapher and Client may agree to deliver goods in person within the local area of Beaufort/Bluffton for no additional cost. Travel available as requested for special projects. Please contact Ashley Lauren for availability.

The Post Office. The post office reads envelopes electronically. Some addresses or calligraphy styles will be more or less difficult to read electronically. The Client understands that any address that can not be read by machine will likely be hand-inspected by the post office. If the address still can not be delivered, it will be returned to the address of the return. The calligrapher is not responsible for resending, reprinting, or reimbursing for invitations or addresses that do not make it to their intended address.

RETURN POLICY

Accuracy. The calligrapher will provide helpful etiquette information so you can set up your address list correctly. The Calligrapher will not be held responsible for any errors found after service has been performed but Ashley Lauren will try to make corrections noticed before service is rendered and after if material remains at the end of the project. The Client assumes responsibility for providing correct names, addresses, and spelling of all words, to the Calligrapher before the Calligrapher begins the project.

Cancellation by Client. In the unfortunate event that either the Client individually or both Clients jointly decide to cancel the Project for any reason, or should Clients have a change of heart for any reason with respect to using the Calligrapher’s services, the Clients must provide the Calligrapher with written notice. Such termination will be effective upon receipt of the Notice, and the following conditions will apply:

  1. The Calligrapher will be entitled to retain the non-refundable, non-transferable Initial Payment of $50 regardless of when the Calligrapher receives Notice of the cancellation.

  2. The Client recognizes and agrees that the termination fees stated herein represent a reasonable estimate of the loss suffered by the Calligrapher in the event of a termination of this Agreement, due to the fact that cancellation of this event will have a direct impact on the Calligrapher’s business, and it will severely limit the Calligrapher’s ability to rebook the Clients’ Event date.

Reimbursement. If the Agreement is terminated by the Client, Calligrapher shall be entitled to compensation for the reservation of Clients’ project date, and for the time spent by Calligrapher in performance of the Services, calculated based upon the extent of services provided thus far, as well as reimbursement by Clients for expenses incurred by Calligrapher before the effective date of such termination.
